‘Great Blue Heron Decoy’
Made from approximately 80% found or recycled material, the form of this Great Blue Heron decoy is sculpted from salvaged metal wrapped in sewing thread and craft wire. One of the eyes is a spent light bulb, the other a painted bolt top. The transparent neck is product packaging for a cell phone case. A found vase and used glass bottle make up the center and tail. Found tent poles run through the sculpture to the base, and are secured to a carved piece of reclaimed cedar with heavy feet made from found metals.
